Everyone being in the same place at the same time doesn't happen very often. When it happened this summer, Mom took advantage of the opportunity and had Sabrina take pictures of The Kiddos on The Ranch. Taking pictures with 4 boys under the age of 3 was pretty interesting, but we ended up with some great pictures and that's all that matters!

My Sister Sabrina and her little boy Mason came for 10 days right after Balen was born. It was so nice having them here! Sabrina was a huge help and Mason loved to give Balen kisses :]

Sabrina has become quite the photographer. She took the pictures that were on Balen's Birth Announcement and then some! We even managed to do a 4th of July photo shoot before she went home.

Trip to Bend.

A year ago Jeff's Grandpa Bob was in a horse accident and paralyzed from the neck down. He now lives in a home in Bend just 2 hours away from us. When Balen was 6 days old we made the trip to Bend to meet his Great Grandpa and Grandma.

Jeff came down with a really bad case of the flu and a virus that was very similar to strep throat the day before Balen was born. Perfect Timing! He was a trooper though! The hospital moved a recliner into my hospital room for him to sit in while I was in labor for 18 hours. He was able to come into the operating room and sit right next to me until they got Balen out. The next few days he laid in the hospital bed next to me until he got better. The only time he got up was to eat, change Balen's diaper or hand him to me because I couldn't walk. It will always be a memory!

I don't know what I would have done without My Mom! She never left my side through labor and trying to deliver. When they wheeled me away to the operating room I think I was more worried about leaving my mom then I was about having a c-section...

Luckily her best friend Christy Sanders (middle) was one of my nurses! It made me feel so much better knowing she was in there with me.

I was due on June 8th. 8 days later still no baby and I SNAPED! Called my doctor Thursday morning (June 16th) and told him I could not be pregnant any longer!! He had me come in for my last OB appointment and said he would induce me in the morning (Friday, June 17^th) After my appointment my doctor sent me over to the hospital for my 3^rd stress test of the week. Turns out I was in labor and had no idea! They admitted me around noon on the 16^th. Hooked me up to pitosin right away to speed things up and make my contractions stronger because I couldn’t feel a thing.

My labor was a walk in the park! I was never in serious pain, but decided to get an epidural when I was dilated to a 5 because I knew I would want it later. Around 11 o’clock that night I was fully dilated and ready to have our baby! If only it were that easy…

As soon as I started pushing my epidural wore off. I could feel EVERYTHING and it was the most painful experience of my life. I was determined to get our baby out though! I pushed for over 3 hours and his head was almost all the way out. My last 3 contractions instead of coming out he decided to go back up the birth canal and turn. After 18 hours of labor and 3 hours of pushing I was rushed in for an emergency c-section.

I don’t remember much of the c-section. I was so exhausted by this point I slept through most of it. I remember them giving me a spinal and feeling so relieved that I could no longer feel anything. I remember them shoving the baby back up the birth canal. I remember his first cry. I remember Jeff showing him to me and telling me he had black hair. And I remember throwing up all over myself. Really Special! An hour and a half later I was out of surgery. They wheeled me to my room where Jeff and our baby boy were waiting for me.

We spent the next 4 days in the hospital. I thought I was going to die the first few days, but things slowly got better. I had to learn how to eat, get out of bed, walk, pee, shower, you name it all over again!

Balen Daniel Cary was born at 4 o’clock in the morning on June 17^th. He weighed 7 pounds 15 ounces and was 20 inches long. Balen is named after Jeff’s Dad Daniel that passed away from cancer when Jeff was 8 years old. Balen’s middle name fits him perfectly because he looks just like Jeff’s Dad did when he was a baby.

Even though getting Balen here was a NIGHTMARE we wouldn’t trade him for anything in the world. He is a healthy baby boy and that is all that matters!

January 18, Jeff's 23rd Birthday.

We had our 20 Week Ultrasound.

We both thought it was a girl… but were wrong.

Holidays. We spent the Holidays in Burns with My Family. We got to sleep in our own bed and only had to drive 20 miles to be with family. Doesn’t get much better than that! All of my siblings were able to make it home at some point during the week. Jeff went all out and got me a Cannon Rebel Camera. It is so nice and I am still so excited about it. I got him a pair of shoes… lame I know. My Dad took everyone snowmobiling on New Years. We had a bonfire, roasted hot dogs, made s’mores and had hot chocolate.

Birthday. Jeff turned 23 on January 18th!! His Grandma Carol’s Birthday is the 17th so we went to Prineville the weekend before and celebrated with his family. We took his grandma shopping and out to lunch at Red Robin on Saturday. We went to breakfast with his mom and sisters Sunday morning before we headed home. It was a quick trip but good to see everyone!

Basketball. We have watched more basketball games in the last 2 months to last a lifetime! My Sister Sheyanne is a sophomore at Burns High School and played on the JV team this year. We made it to almost all of her home games and even managed to travel to a few. Jeff’s Stepsister Preslie is a freshman at Crook County High School and played on the fresh-soph team. We got to watch her play when we went over to celebrate Jeff’s Birthday. Jeff’s Sister Baylee is a 6th grader and played on a school team and club team in Prineville this year. Jeff’s older sister Jamie was her coach. We got to watch her play in Bend at a tournament a couple weeks ago. My sister Sayge is a 3rd grader and played her first year of park & rec basketball. She was half the size of most the other girls but that didn’t stop her. She had improved a ton by the time the season was over.

FFA. It’s a busy time of year for FFA. I have been busy editing scripts helping state officers prepare for convention. This year convention is in Medford, OR March 18th – 21st. With the baby coming this will probably be my last year working with state officers. I will miss it, but will be able to focus more of my time on the Burns Chapter. My Sister Sheyanne competed in sophomore prepared public speaking a few weeks ago at the district leadership competition. She didn’t do as well as we hoped, but she got some great experience under her belt. We are headed to John Day next week for district officer elections.

Corvallis. Our house in Corvallis has been on the market for 14 months. We finally gave up, took it off the market and rented it out a couple weeks ago. We went over to check the house, meet the renters and give them the keys the weekend before Valentine’s Day. In the beginning we were thinking we could do it in one day, but our to-do list kept growing… deliver hay, beauty supply store, Verizon, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Big R, Costco. I guess you could say we need to get out of town more! It ended up being a 3 day trip. We spent way too much money, but got a ton done and even managed to go out to dinner at Olive Garden for Valentine’s Day.

Nursery. is under construction! Last week Jeff ripped out the pink carpet and my best friend Brittnee and her mom Bev painted. We are hoping to get the wood floors laid in the next couple weeks. Jeff can’t wait to put the crib together ;] The changing table and dresser are ordered. It’s all a little overwhelming, but we’ll get there eventually. We’ll be sure to post pictures when it’s all put together.

We celebrated our 1 Year Anniversary December 12th. Hard to believe it’s been a year! Jeff decided that the PERFECT anniversary gift to each other would be a dog. I was VERY hesitant… but it has actually turned out to be a great thing. A month has gone by and nothing has been chewed or broken. The garage is still standing!

Christmas Lights

Jeff and our friend Nate rounded up the lights we used for our wedding and went to town on our house the middle of November. I was a little worried about the power bill, but they assured me it wouldn't be too bad. They were hoping to win the contest for the best lights in town, but that didn't happen :[ Maybe next year! They really enjoy putting lights up and did it for quite a few families in our community. Once the outside was decorated My Mom came over for an afternoon and we did the inside. 12 Week Ultrasound

Our Miracle.

2 years ago we were told we would never be able to have kids. It was devastating, but we had faith that someday Heavenly Father would bless us with a family of our own. But we always assumed it would be through adoption…

Last week we found out that we are expecting. I’m 6 weeks along due the beginning of June. Once we told our families the word spread quick :] We are excited, nervous, anxious but most of all grateful. It truly is a miracle that wouldn’t have been possible without our Heavenly Father.

No morning sickness so far. I’m SUPER tired and find myself eating a lot more. It’s amazing how quick life can change. We have never been happier and can’t wait to meet our miracle baby. We pray daily that everything will go smoothly and we will have a healthy baby in 34 weeks :]

A couple weekends ago most of Jeff’s Family met in Prairie City to Preg Test Cows and Winterize The Ranch. Grandma Bill was taking pictures the entire time so she could show Grandpa Bob when she returned to Boise. It was a great opportunity to spend time with family. It’s been over 2 months and we have so much to catch you up on.

We bought a BBQ in June and Jeff is obsessed. He loves BBQing for all our friends and neighbors.

I was on Jury Duty July and August. Lucky for me I got $10 for my services :]

Back to School Haircuts kept me sssooo busy the month of August.

Sayge turned 8 and was Baptized in August. Skye, Becca and The Boys came for the weekend. It was a Beautiful Baptism and a fun weekend at The Ranch.

Jeff and His Sister Jamie traveled to Boise the end of August to spend a couple days with their Grandpa. They loved spending time with him and wished they could have stayed for longer.

We got the crazy idea to redo our Flower Beds. After a sliced finger, emergency room bill and a torn up sprinkler system our Flower Beds are looking better than ever but are nowhere near done.

The Harney County Fair was the beginning of September. Sheyanne showed a steer and was Grand Champion FFA Showman. Sabrina, Kevin and Mason were here for the week and Jamie and her boyfriend Ed were here for the weekend competing in the rodeo. We ate lots of fair food, caught up with old friends, watched the rodeo and rode carnival rides with Sayge and Shaylee.

Harney County Right To Life called my mom months ago and asked if they could use one of her children’s wedding pictures for a project they were doing. The project ended up being a billboard and we were the lucky couple.

Everywhere we go we get asked “is that you on the billboard by Dairy Queen?!” or “Did you forget to tell me something, are you pregnant!?” No I am not pregnant and yes that is us.

I was called to be the Burns Ward Camp Director last spring. It was a little hectic considering I moved home a month before camp, but somehow we pulled it all together. 7 girls and I loaded up in Jeff’s pickup bright and early on July 6th and drove half way across the state to the stake girls camp. We spent 4 days camping, swimming, hiking, and meeting new friends. We had a great time, but were all very ready to come home. I might be 21 and married but I still get homesick :)

Our last weekend in Corvallis.

We spent the 3rd weekend in May in Corvallis. Jeff headed over Friday night with a load of hay. Every couple of months when I would come home to visit Dad would send me back to school with his pickup and some small bales to deliver to an elderly lady in Albany. I loved delivering this client hay! She is in her 80’s and would no joke buck bales right alongside me. None of her family lived in the area so whenever I would come she would insist on making me lunch and would proceed to talk my leg off for hours. Since I am done with school when Jeff brought the trailer over to move all of the furniture home him and Dad filled it full of hay to deliver to my favorite client. So we got up bright and early Saturday morning and headed to Albany and spent the morning unloading hay and visiting with her. After that we headed to Salem so Uncle Jeff could meet Baby Mason. Lucky for me my brother-in-law is equally obsessed with Red Robin as I am, so that is where we had lunch :) We had a great visit with them then headed back to Corvallis to spend the rest of the weekend working on the house. Jeff spent hours on the yard and I packed up and cleaned the house. It was bittersweet. I was so ready and excited to be in Burns, but that house was my security for so long it was hard to imagine not going back. We loaded the trailer up with all the furniture Sunday morning and Jeff was on the road back to Burns while I got ready for my last full week of school.

9:30 – clocked out for the last time.

I had dreamed of this day since I started school on April 20, 2009. Definitely the longest and hardest 13 months of my life, but I SURVIVED, and it was so worth it. Ever since I was a little girl my family would joke about how I would never graduate from college because I wouldn’t be able to leave Burns long enough to get it done. I proved them all wrong! When I got out of taking my state boards I had multiple voicemails on my phone from my parents. They were a nervous wreck! I called them right away to tell them I passed and was officially done. I think they were more relieved than I was :) It was such a big day! When I got home that night I crashed. Slept for 18 hours. My husband probably thought I was dead! We were relieved, excited and ready to start a new chapter of our life. It’s so good to be home!

Lately my worrying has been at an all time peak. I think that beauty school, mortgage lenders, real estate agents, weeds in my flower beds, starting my own business, medical insurance, antivirus that expired 133 days ago and so many other things could quite possibly have something to do with it :]

I am very excited for things to slow down, so I will have a few less things to worry about. 10 school days to go!

He was in a lot of pain at first but after a few hours without sunlight he was good to go.

Buying a home has topped the list for the most stressful experience ever, but it was all worth it and we are happier than ever.

Here is a picture of the house that was on the website. We moved in 10 days ago and thanks to My Mom and her Best Friend Christy we are somewhat settled. I headed back to school the day after we moved in and haven’t been home since.

A special thanks to My Family and My Dad’s Secretaries for all your help with the paperwork nightmare. I didn't even know how to run a fax machine before this adventure. It definitely took all 10 of us to get the job done :)

March Madness

Taxes, state basketball, spreading fertilizer, graduation, fire training, oregon ffa state convention, junior evaluations, baby showers, church callings, buying a house, attempting to sell a house, 400 wedding thank yous, the everyday sagas of beauty school and everything else I am forgetting about are just a few of the things we had going on in March :)

Looking back now I don’t know how we got through it, but somehow we did. I came home for the first time all month for Sabrina’s Baby Shower. I think Heavenly Father knew I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown, so he sent a horrible storm our way that left me stranded in Burns for an entire week. You would not believe what I got accomplished in that 7 days! Christmas Decorations down, for the first time since we got married I was caught up on the laundry, wedding thank yous written and in the mail and finalized everything for my new job.

The highlight of our week was getting approved for a loan. Our financial system is so screwed up right now that it was definitely an act of congress. We are very grateful that we had my Dad to walk us through the process. I’m sure I drove him insane with all my phone calls, but he helped us understand, and we wouldn’t have been able to do it without him. After we were approved for a loan we made an offer on a house. The sellers accepted the offer and we will hopefully close next Friday, April 23rd. WE ARE SO EXCITED!!! I can’t wait to have a dishwasher and oven that works. A shower that’s not disgusting will be a plus too :) Jeff can’t wait to work in the yard. He informed me the other day that him and his Grandpa have big plans.

It was the perfect week at home. We weren’t quite sure what to do with ourselves. The house was clean, the laundry was done, my mom fed us dinenr most nights, we slept in the same bed for over a week and actually had time to watch TV. Exactly what I needed to finish my last 6 weeks of beauty school!

My Mom and I threw Sabrina a Baby Shower in Burns on March 27th. We had a great turn out and she got tons of fun stuff for her little man. Her birthday is tomorrow (April 15th) and her husband has to get on the boat, so I am headed to Knappa this weekend to celebrate her birthday and keep her company. If we are lucky Mr. Mason will decide to make his grand entrance!! Jeff and I are so excited for him to be here and to have another nephew to play with :)

Oregon FFA State Convention was held March 19th – 22nd at Oregon State University. I had been helping the officers prepare for months and worked back stage with them. It was an exhausting but extremely exciting 4 days!! Jeff came for the weekend and brought Sister Shelby. Sister Sheyanne and Cousins Dallas, Keely and Katie were all there too. It was a family affair! Convention brought back so many memories of my year of service. 3 other members of my team were there helping and it was nice to spend time with them. FFA has definitely molded me into the person I am today. After all, it is how I met my husband :)

I still have 7 weeks of school left, but my graduation ceremony was on March 11th. Nothing too major! It consisted of each one of the educators talking about each one of the graduates. They all pretty much said the same thing about me “one of our quietest students but extremely talented.” Jeff was swamped at work and couldn’t make it but Dad, Skye, Shelby and Sheyanne were able to be there. They were all quite concerned about me being one of the quietest students! I guess I just don’t fit in very well at beauty school? I AM SO READY TO BE DONE :]

State Basketball

Shelby and her basketball team competed in the 3A State Basketball Tournament at Willamette University in Salem March 3rd – 6th. They placed 5th overall and received the sportsmanship award. It is Shelby’s senior year so this was her last hurrah! Everyone was able to come and watch her play except for Kevin (Sabrina’s Husband) who was out on the boat. My parents and Sabrina came over Wednesday and Jeff came Friday morning. Most of them made trips down to Corvallis to see where I go to school and get their hair done. The people I go to school with finally believe that I do have a husband and a family. They’re not made up :] It was a fun weekend full of basketball, family and more basketball. We are so proud of Shelby and will miss watching her play next year!

I’ve officially decided the time has come to learn how to cook! We received so many nice kitchen things for our wedding that need to be put to use. We live apart during the week, so I will probably only cook on the weekends, but for the first time ever I actually have a desire to learn. Last night my roommate Rena shared a few recipes and showed me how it all went down. We ended up with finger steaks, potatoes and peach cobbler. Jeff is excited and can’t wait for next weekend!

Portland

My Sister Sabrina is 6 months pregnant with a little boy. I met her in Portland on Friday afternoon for her 3D ultrasound. Little Mason was not cooperating very well laying the wrong way, putting his hands over his face and then his feet over his head, but it was still really neat! He definitely looks like a little boy. He opened his eyes once and we got to watch him yawn. I’m excited for him to be here and to have another nephew! After her ultrasound we had dinner at Red Robin and then I headed to my friend Brittany's house to give her a haircut. Brittany and I grew up together and her and her husband got married a month before we did. There ended up being 4 other kids I went to high school with there. It is always fun to catch up with old friends. It makes me feel at home even though we were all the way in Portland!

3 years ago this month my Dad moved me to Corvallis kicking and screaming. Okay not really, but I did not want to go! He would tell me over and over “getting an education is one of the most important things you will ever do.” I would cry and say “you just don’t understand,” but now that the end is in sight I am starting to realize that he might just understand after all. Don’t get me wrong, there has been NOTHING easy about my college experience. I put 40,000 miles on my brand new car, forced my parents to jump on the Verizon band wagon so we could talk cell to cell and managed to lose 75 pounds. Yup, that’s how good of a cook I am! Just kidding, I am a horrible cook, but that’s not why I lost so much weight :] Graduating with my associates degree in general agriculture and my license to do hair will be one of my biggest accomplishments. I have learned so much about agriculture, hair and most importantly life. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity my parents have given me to get an education. There is no way I could have done it without them. Here’s to my 3 year anniversary of living in Corvallis, Oregon!!!!!

One of my best friends (Brianna LaFollette) underwent her 2nd brain surgery on Tuesday to remove an AVM. An AVM is an arterial-venous malformation in the brain. The surgery went well and she is already walking. Definitely the bravest person I know! Bria's goal is to organize and run a half marathon in June. The money raised will be donated to AVM research. We are so proud of her and can't wait for her to get home. We love you Bria!!

New Years in McCall

For the last 21 years My Family and Uncle Steve and Aunt Vicki’s Family have traveled to McCall, ID a few days after Christmas for a weeklong snowmobiling trip. This year there were 34 of us!! Some of our highlights from this year include: Austyn’s 6th Birthday, snowmobiling, lots and lots of yummy food, sleigh ride through an elk farm, cranium, ice-skating, moxie java, and celebrating New Years as a family.

The day after Christmas we went and spent the night with Jeff’s Grandparents in Prairie City. We had so much fun!! Grandma Bill made us dinner (excellent cook that gave me some tips) and we stayed up until all hours of the night visiting. Sarah (cousin) was in town and came over for dinner too. We’re so glad we got to catch up with her before she headed back to school. Jeff went out and fed cows with his Grandpa bright and early Sunday morning. He loves his Grandpa’s ranch! He took it upon himself to get his Grandparents internet up and running while we were there. He was successful, and is now trying to convince Grandma Bill to get a facebook. haha It was the perfect weekend. I leaned so much about Jeff’s childhood. They told stories, looked at pictures and we all had such a great time. We are already planning our next trip back. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma Bill!!

Jeff and I were sealed in the Boise, ID LDS Temple on December 12, 2009. It was a beautiful snowy day. A ring ceremony and reception was held at the Harney County Fairgrounds that evening where we were able to celebrate with our closest friends and family. It was such a great time! Our first Christmas as a married couple was perfect. We are headed to Prairie City tomorrow to spend time with Jeff's Grandparents and cousins. He is so excited to feed cows with his Grandpa. Our Farm House

Jeff has been renting a house right down the road from my parents for a little over a year now. It is an old farm house and we absolutely love it! There are many perks to living out of town, but some of our favorites are: it only takes Jeff 2 minutes to get to work, our nearest neighbor is at least a mile away, and we live right down the road from my parents. So when Jeff gets sick of my cooking he can run to my mom :]

We came home from our honeymoon on Tuesday night to a house full of gifts. We opened them up together that night, and then Jeff headed back to work first thing Wednesday morning leaving me to put the house together. The upstairs is still “under construction” I’m hoping to finish it next week, but the downstairs is done. We got so many wonderful gifts for our wedding. Thank you everyone, we appreciate it all so much! Here is our house…

Time for an update!!!

Design Team - I am officially a junior at Phagan’s Cosmetology College!!! 850 hours to go! Once you become a junior you are eligible to try out for the design team. Design team consists of 7 individuals that wear shiny aprons that don’t have to consult with the educators and that stay rather busy. I hadn’t planned on trying out because of everything going on right now, but my cousin needed her hair done, so I thought what the heck! We took her from dark brown to blonde. It turned out great, so great that I made the team :] Thanks Kels!

The Move – The weekend before Thanksgiving Jeff made another trip over the pass, but this time with a trailer to move most of my stuff home. I still have 4 months of school left, but I was ready for everything to be home. The house in Corvallis has been a family storage unit for Skye, Sabrina, and I as we have transitioned from one stage of our lives to another. Needless to say there were all kinds of things in the garage that we had forgotten all about! We filled the trailer full and then headed for home. It took me a good week to go through everything and get it all put away. Our house is looking more and more like a home every day. We can’t wait for you to come and visit!

Thanksgiving – We spent Thanksgiving in Prineville with Jeff’s family this year. It was a quick trip, and I was sick with strep throat for most of it, but we’re glad we went. We spent part of the day at his mom’s house, and part of the day at his aunt and uncle’s house. One of my best friends is actually one of Jeff’s cousins. She goes to school in Idaho and we hardly ever get to see each other. She spent Thanksgiving in Prineville too, and we had so much fun catching up. We went to New Moon with all of his cousins on Thanksgiving night and had a great time! It was the first holiday I had ever spent away from my family. Being the homebody that I am, I had a really hard time, but we got through it. Thank goodness for cell phones! All in all it was a great Thanksgiving. I wish we had pictures to post, but being the organized people that we are we remembered the camera, the charger, but no CIM card. Maybe next year!

Bachelor Party– Nathan and Wyatt (2 of Jeff’s groomsman) took him to a Sara Evans concert in Boise on Sunday night. Nathan has some connections in the country music industry and was able to get them front row seats. They had a ton of fun! Jeff took the camera, and supposedly got some good pictures. I’ll post some when I get home. Thanks Nathan and Wyatt!

Wedding - 8 days! Everything is starting to come together. My sisters and I did all the programs last weekend, the young women did all the favors last night for mutual, and my mom has been working nonstop. Thanks Mom… you’re the best! My last day of school was today. Such a relief! I met with the realtor tonight. Hopefully we get some offers soon! I’m headed out first thing in the morning so I can meet Jeff at the court house before 4 o’clock to apply for our marriage license. It is going to be a busy week, but we can’t wait to see how it all turns out!

My little sister Shelby played in the State Volleyball Tournament in Eugene this weekend. They place 5th overall. Everyone except Kevin (Sabrina’s husband) was able to come down and watch her play. Great job Shelby!!

Trick-or-Treat

Jeff came down with a nasty throat infection this week, so instead of doing absolutely nothing for Halloween I took Sayge and Shaylee trick-or-treating. They were poodle girls and looked super cute. Sayge is really shy and couldn’t quite bring herself to say trick-or-treat, but luckily she had loud mouth Shaylee with her to take care of all the talking :] After their baskets got too heavy to carry we met Jeff at the Apple Peddler for dinner. They had bean burritos and informed Jeff and I that it is their new favorite food. Happy Halloween!

Sunday School Teachers

Jeff and I were called to be the 14 and 15 year old Sunday School Teachers in the Burns Ward a few Sundays ago. There is about 6 kids in our class, one of them being my little sister Sheyanne. We had a hard time tracking down a manual so the first week consisted of hangman, charades, and the new era. Today we gave an actual lesson, and as far as we’re concerned it went great! They all love Jeff because he brings them large amounts of candy… imagine that :]

We're officially bloggers!!

My mom and sisters informed me a few weeks ago that blogging is the thing to do when you are married… we’re not getting married for 6 more weeks, but I thought I would give it a try. I’m HORRIBLE at keeping a journal, so hopefully I will be a little more successful at this :]

Mom came down with the Swine Flu on Sunday, so I am in Burns this week taking care of the girls. For those of you that know me well know that homemaking is not my strong point. Jeff, Dad, Skye, Sabrina, and Shelby call every few hours to make sure everyone is still alive and the house is still standing. haha They are quite impressed with the progress I am making! My days have been filled with taking and picking up the girls from school, making beds, laundry, cartoons, cooking dinner, dishes, playing with Shaylee, and DISINFECTING everything in sight! Tomorrow there is harvest parties, tap dance, and whatever else Shaylee throws my way. She informed me yesterday when I picked her up from school that I better hurry up and go get her some french fries, because people die if they don’t eat french fries. She is quite the character! Overall it has been a nice break from school and fun spending time with Jeff and my family.

Jeff has exactly 2 days of haying season left! It just started raining though, so who knows how that will turn out :] He is going to miss baling hay, but is excited to have a few weekends a month off. We have been spending a lot of time working on the house the last few weekends. It is looking so good! Him and our friend Nate winterized everything on Sunday night, it was quite the process, but he is relieved to have it done for another year. He has spent a lot of time over at my parents house with me and the little girls this week. The little girls love him! They walk around the house calling him Jeffrey. He taught Shaylee how to play the wii the other night, and you would have thought he gave her a million bucks.

Overall we’re hoping that mom gets better soon… the entire ranch doesn’t get swine flu… and that it will stop raining long enough to get 2 more pivots baled! Have a great week!!
